The Goal by Eliyahu M. Goldratt is a business novel that tells the story of Alex Rogo, the plant manager of a struggling manufacturing company. The book is a fictionalized account of the application of the Theory of Constraints (TOC), a management philosophy that focuses on identifying and eliminating bottlenecks in a system.

My opinion: a very inspiring novel about a manager that wants to save its factory and how it turns it around in a few months. Very clever novel to introduce the concept behind the lean in a concrete and comprehesive way!
